Maybe this is why I’m sharing a recipe that goes well with fish.It is my grandmother’s recipe for spoon/batter bread. This is nothing new, but my family and I cannot eat fish without it.
Bring to a boil, stirring as you go: 1 cup best (organic) yellow corn meal with 2 cup water
Cool slightly and add: 1 cup milk beaten with 1 good (free range) egg pour into a preheated cast iron pan or Pyrex glass dish (with several Tbs. olive oil or fat of your choice)
